FAQ's
How much do you charge?
Prices vary depending on time of the day, day of the week and location, but if you contact us with full details of your event, we can give you an accurate quote. We always try to keep our prices as affordable as possible, but if our price is out of budget and you are still keen to have us play, we are happy to discuss options, such as an earlier performance time or a weekday, if your event is flexible. We do love our job and it is you that keeps us going :-)
What kind of events do you do?
We cover everything from small, intimate dinners (our smallest to date being a 65th birthday party for just 8 people!), all the way up to vintage fayres, corporate events, restaurants, functions, weddings (afternoon and evening entertainment), garden parties and more. If you are unsure if we can cater for your event, please don't hesitate to drop us an email or call us, and we will discuss any details with you in full before you book.
Can you perform your set acoustically?
Absolutely, in fact, we love to perform without the gear. We believe you can't get a better sound than performing naturally, however this setup is reserved for intimate events of around 15 guests or wedding days inside the church, etc, as the volume would not be loud enough for larger events.
Do you have your own equipment?
Yes. We have a number of different set ups, depending on the size of venue and number of guests expected, but we are also happy to use a PA if one is provided.
How long do you play for?
Our usual time is 2 x 1 hour sets, but we can alter this to suit your event, playing just one set or breaking it up into three fourty minute sets. For parties however, we usually recommend sticking to 2 x 1 hour, as this tends to be the most popular arrangement to keep your guests entertained.
How far do you travel?
We are happy to travel as far afield as you are happy to have us! Our only requirement is that you cover our travel costs and provide food and accomodation if we are travelling more than 3 hours from our home town of Birchington.
How long do you take to set up?
We can set up in around 40 minutes, from unloading to being ready to play, but we usually recommend an hour. We arrive at a venue no more than an hour and a quarter before performing, but if you require us to arrive sooner, this may be possibe but we usually charge a waiting fee as it may prevent us working before your event. Please mention this before you book if it is required, as we cannot guarentee this otherwise.
